Holistic dentistry, also called biological dentistry, treats your mouth as part of your whole body, not in isolation. Holistic dentists avoid materials known to be harmful (like mercury amalgam and high-concentration fluoride), use biocompatible restorations, and consider how dental health connects to systemic conditions including cardiovascular disease, thyroid function, and autoimmune disorders.
The core difference from conventional dentistry is philosophy: rather than treating symptoms in the mouth alone, holistic dentistry looks for root causes and prioritizes materials and methods that support your overall health.

We are a completely fluoride-free dental office. A 2020 systematic review in Environment International raised questions about fluoride’s effects on thyroid function and neurodevelopment in children. We use ozone therapy, remineralizing agents, and dietary counseling as evidence-informed alternatives.
We remove amalgam fillings using the IAOMT’s SMART protocol. Standard removal without protective measures can raise mercury vapor up to 40x above occupational safety limits. SMART uses rubber dams, high-volume evacuation, sectioning (not grinding), and supplemental oxygen.
Every restoration we place is metal-free: composite resin, ceramic, and zirconia instead of metal alloys. Zirconia implants and crowns are especially popular among patients with metal sensitivity or those who prefer to minimize metal in their bodies entirely.

Our office is at 12520 Magnolia Blvd, Suite 205, Valley Village, CA 91607. Valley Village and Studio City share a boundary along Laurel Canyon Blvd and Colfax Avenue. We are a 5–10 minute drive for most Studio City residents. Patients also commute from Toluca Lake, Burbank, and North Hollywood.
Open Monday through Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm. Most PPO plans accepted. New patients always welcome.
