What Is a Cavitation and Why Does It Develop?

A cavitation (formally called NICO, or Neuralgia-Inducing Cavitational Osteonecrosis, or FDOJ, Fatty Degenerative Osteonecrosis of the Jawbone) is a hollow or necrotic area within the jawbone.
