Meet Dr. Maryet Nikkie Babrood

Dr. Babrood founded Rite Dentist on a single conviction: that dentistry done right treats the whole person, not just the tooth.

She earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology before being accepted into one of the most competitive programs in California — the Dental Hygiene/Doctor of Dental Surgery Pathway Program at the University of Southern California. She graduated as both a registered dental hygienist and a Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Her passion for dentistry started long before dental school. At seven years old, she helped her younger sister through a dental emergency with nothing but a string and a steady hand. She grew up alongside her dentist uncle, watching the moment a patient’s face shifts from pain to relief. That moment — turning fear into calm — is still what drives her practice today.

Dr. Babrood is IAOMT SMART-Certified for the safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings, one of a small number of dentists in the San Fernando Valley to hold this designation. She has treated patients from 12 months to 102 years old, and has volunteered in both international and local underserved communities throughout her career.
