How often should I schedule a dental exam and cleaning?

For most patients, every six months is the standard recommendation. However, patients with gum disease, a history of frequent cavities, or certain systemic conditions may benefit from visits every three to four months. We'll assess your individual needs and recommend the right schedule for you at your first visit.

Do you treat children and seniors?

Absolutely. We welcome patients of all ages — from an infant's first tooth check to comprehensive care for older adults. We create a calm, unhurried environment so children don't develop dental anxiety, and we take extra time with seniors to understand how medications and systemic health affect their oral care needs.

What does holistic general dentistry mean in practice?

It means we consider the whole person — not just the tooth. We use biocompatible, mercury-free materials, avoid unnecessary chemical exposures, and look for the systemic connections behind oral symptoms. We also practice minimally invasive dentistry, preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible and only recommending treatment that is genuinely necessary.

Do you use mercury-free, biocompatible materials?

Yes. We have not placed mercury amalgam fillings in years and have no plans to. We use tooth-colored composite resin for all restorations, BPA-free sealants for preventive care, and carefully selected materials across all procedures. For patients who wish to have old amalgam fillings removed, we follow the SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) protocol.

Can I use my PPO dental insurance here?

Yes. We accept most PPO dental insurance plans and will help you understand your benefits before treatment begins. We also offer flexible financing options for patients without insurance or for treatments not fully covered by their plan.
